Lachlan Hough

MUSCULOSKELETAL PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Post Graduate Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Lachlan completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from James Cook University in Queensland in 2014. Since then he has worked in private practice locally after moving back home to the peninsula. Looking to continue building on his knowledge and skills, Lachlan recently completed his Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through La Trobe University.

Lachlan is passionate about helping people from all walks of life understand what might be contributing to their problem, and working together on the best solution. He also feels physiotherapists have a responsibility to dispel the unfortunately numerous myths and misunderstandings around pain and injury so that people can get back to the things they love with confidence, and without fear.

Outside of work, Lachlan is a keen traveller and likes nothing better than getting lost in a new city, rubbing shoulders with locals in a mechanically dubious bus, or the feeling you get from making it to mountain passes you can only get to by foot.

Lachlan has also completed post-graduate training in:

·       Spinal pain

·       Persistent pain

·       Sports injuries

·       Dry needling

Zoe since then has completed her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at Latrobe University – subsequently being awarded the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist title.

Assisting a variety of athletes, ‘weekend warriors’, desk jockeys, youngsters and those in their later years makes Zoe’s role as a Sports Physio an interesting and fulfilling one. In line with evidence-based practice, Zoe arms her patients with the knowledge and the tools to address their presenting issue head on.

Physiotherapy is more than an occupation to Zoe. She has been a committee member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Committee - Victorian Chapter for the past few years and is committed to strengthening the profession to optimise patient outcomes.

Zoe has successfully combined her knowledge as a Sports Physiotherapist with her background in equestrian sports.
